Kashmir packages with Pahalgam and prices (2026)

Pahalgam does not need a separate package: it is a fixed stop on every Suzu Kashmir trip. These are the live packages, per person, twin sharing, off-season, as printed on each package page today. Pick by how many nights you want in the Lidder valley.

Peak dates (Christmas–New Year, school holidays, long weekends) and higher hotel categories cost more. “On request” means the page prints no price; we quote it for your dates. How you reach Pahalgam

Pahalgam is a riverside town at about 2,200 m on the Lidder river in Anantnag district, about 90–95 km from Srinagar via Anantnag — 2.5 to 3 hours by car. In a package, your private car does this drive with two classic stops on the way: the saffron fields of Pampore (bloom in late October–early November) and the Awantipora ruins. There is no airport or railhead in Pahalgam itself; you fly or take the Vande Bharat to Srinagar and drive from there. A day trip from Srinagar is possible but means five to six hours in the car for a couple of hours in the valleys, which is why our plans give Pahalgam at least one night. The union taxi rule: read this before you go

This catches most first-time visitors. Your package car brings you to Pahalgam and takes you back, but the side valleys — Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari — are visited only in local union vehicles hired at the Pahalgam taxi stand. The rates are fixed by the union and shown on a board; you pay per vehicle, not per person, and it is paid locally — it is not in any Kashmir package price, including ours. Betaab and Chandanwari are on the same road and Aru is on another, so two points fit comfortably in a morning. What is open in Pahalgam (November 2026)

Where to stay in Pahalgam: the main market and riverside are walkable to the taxi stand; the Aru road side is quieter; the Chandanwari road has the bigger river-view resorts. In winter, pay for proper heating. Gulmarg to Pahalgam directly is about 140 km, so trips that sleep in Gulmarg keep a full driving day between the two.

Pahalgam is included in every Suzu Kashmir package, from ₹16,999 per person for 6 days (twin sharing, off-season) with two Pahalgam nights. The 5-day houseboat tour with one Pahalgam night is from ₹21,999. Union taxis for the side valleys are paid locally.

Is there a separate package only for Pahalgam?
We do not sell a Pahalgam-only fixed package; the town works best as part of the Srinagar–Gulmarg–Pahalgam circuit. If you want extra Pahalgam nights, or a trip weighted towards the Lidder valley, we plan and quote it for your dates.

How far is Pahalgam from Srinagar?
About 90–95 km via Anantnag, which takes 2.5–3 hours by car. As a day trip that means five to six hours in the car, so our packages give Pahalgam at least one night.

Can my package car take me to Betaab Valley and Aru?
No. Betaab, Aru and Chandanwari are visited only in Pahalgam union taxis, hired at the taxi stand at fixed board rates, paid per vehicle on the spot. Your package car waits in town and takes you onward afterwards.

Is Baisaran open?
No. Baisaran meadow has been closed since April 2025 and we found no reopening order up to early November 2026. Packages cover Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, Chandanwari and the Lidder riverfront instead; we confirm the current status before your trip.

How many nights should we spend in Pahalgam?
One night covers the riverfront and a two-valley morning. Two nights let you do all three valleys without rushing and keep the driving days short — that is how our 6-day economy tour plans it.

Which is better for snow, Pahalgam or Gulmarg?
Gulmarg: it is higher, has the gondola and gets more reliable snow. Pahalgam in winter is quieter, with snow on the peaks and sometimes in town; Aru and Chandanwari roads can close after snowfall.

Is Pahalgam open and safe to visit now?
