We do not sell a Gulmarg-only package. Gulmarg is part of every Kashmir trip below; the last column shows how. A Gulmarg-only stay (for example two nights for skiing) is customised and quoted for your dates.

Gulmarg Gondola: phases, tickets and how booking works

Altitudes and ride times are from JKTDC’s Gulmarg page. Fares differ between 2026 reports: Curly Tales (26 June 2026) gave ₹700 and ₹900, and Travel Coffee (July–August 2026) gave ₹810 and ₹1,010. Pay the fare the official portal shows.
How to book (2026):
- Book only on the official J&K Cable Car Corporation e-ticket site, linked from jammukashmircablecar.com. The corporation advises visitors to book online and not to buy from touts.
- Pick your date and entry time slot, and enter names exactly as on each traveller’s photo ID.
- Book Phase 2 for the same date and a matching slot. Booking guides say the Phase 1 transaction may be needed for it, so keep the ID and a screenshot.
- Save both QR tickets offline; signal at the upper stations can be weak.
- Take an early slot: views are clearer and Phase 2 is the first to stop when wind picks up.
Who cannot ride: JKTDC states that people with heart disease or breathing problems, and children below 5, are not allowed. The gondola also closes for faults and bad weather; it was shut from 25 May 2026 for a technical fault and reopened in late June 2026. Keep a spare half-day. Snow and ski season in Gulmarg
- December to early March: snow season. Skiing on the gondola slopes and the beginner area. After fresh snow, only 4×4 or chained vehicles go up from Tangmarg, so plan for a local chained taxi or choose Snowclad Superior.
- Chillai Kalan (21 December–31 January): the coldest stretch; Phase 2 stops more often.
- April to October: green meadows and flowers, snow only high up near Apharwat.
- Skiers: 2026–27 lift passes for Indian skiers were listed at ₹1,200 a day for Phase 1 and ₹1,500 for Phase 2 (Gulmarg Snow Kings, August 2026; confirm on the official site). For courses and lessons, read skiing in Gulmarg.
What is open (November 2026): Gulmarg town, the slopes and the gondola are running. Elsewhere in Kashmir, Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam is still closed (Anantnag district closed list, 7 July 2026). Check J&K Tourism and local police advisories before you travel.
