Where you will go
Kashmir is compact. Srinagar is the base and everything else is a day trip or a short drive, which is why a five or six night trip covers it comfortably.

Srinagar
2 to 3 nights, your base
Dal Lake and the shikara ride at dusk, the Mughal gardens at Nishat and Shalimar, the old city bakeries and the walnut wood workshops. A night on a houseboat is worth doing once.

Gulmarg
Day trip or 1 night
The gondola climbs to Apharwat at nearly 4,000 metres and the view opens across the Pir Panjal. Snow from December to March, meadow and golf course the rest of the year.

Pahalgam
1 to 2 nights
The Lidder river, Betaab and Aru valleys, and pony rides up to Baisaran. Greener and quieter than Gulmarg, and the better choice if you are travelling with children.

Sonmarg
Day trip from Srinagar
The meadow of gold, with Thajiwas glacier a short pony ride away. The road closes in deep winter, so this one depends entirely on your dates and we will tell you honestly.

Doodhpathri and Yusmarg
For a quieter day
Two meadows most itineraries skip. Almost no crowds, no commercial pony stands, just pine and grass and a stream. Ask for these if you have seen the main circuit before.

Add Vaishno Devi or Ladakh
For longer trips
Katra sits on the way in from Jammu, so the yatra adds two days neatly. Ladakh via the Srinagar to Leh highway is a bigger undertaking and only works from June to September. On the Pahalgam road we stop at the saffron fields and the willow cricket bat workshops.
Choose your hotel category
Same vehicle, same local team, same coordinator at every tier. Only the hotels change. Per person on twin sharing, land package from Srinagar airport.

| Srinagar and Gulmarg3 nights, 4 days | Rs 11,999 | Rs 18,999 | Rs 26,999 |
| Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam4 nights, 5 days | Rs 14,499 | Rs 23,999 | Rs 33,999 |
| Classic Kashmir circuit5 nights, 6 days | Rs 17,499 | Rs 28,999 | Rs 39,999 |
| Kashmir with Sonmarg6 nights, 7 days | Rs 21,499 | Rs 34,999 | Rs 47,999 |
| Kashmir with Vaishno Devi7 nights, 8 days | Rs 25,499 | Rs 39,999 | Rs 54,999 |
Budget clean 3 star hotels, private vehicle, breakfast and dinner. Deluxe 4 star properties in better locations, larger rooms. Premium 5 star and luxury houseboats, valley facing rooms, a dedicated coordinator through the trip.
Our quotes include the Gulmarg gondola and the Pahalgam union cab. Very cheap Kashmir packages usually leave both out, which adds four to six thousand rupees per person later. December to February and the New Year week cost more.
A typical 5 night trip
This is the shape most trips take. Yours will change once we know your dates and who is travelling.
Day 1 · Arrive Srinagar
Pick up from the airport, check in, and an easy evening. Shikara ride on Dal Lake at sunset if your flight lands early enough.
Day 2 · Srinagar sightseeing
Nishat and Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Shankaracharya temple for the valley view, and the old city if you want the bakeries and the craft workshops.
Day 3 · Gulmarg
Drive up through the pine, gondola to Kongdoori and on to Apharwat if the weather holds. Back to Srinagar in the evening, or stay the night in Gulmarg.
Day 4 · Pahalgam
Saffron fields and the cricket bat workshops on the way. Betaab valley, Aru, and the Lidder river. Overnight in Pahalgam is the better option if you have the night.
Day 5 · Sonmarg or a free day
Sonmarg and Thajiwas glacier if the road is open, or a slower day in Srinagar with shopping and a houseboat stay.
Day 6 · Departure
Transfer to the airport with enough buffer. We watch the weather and move your pickup earlier if it looks like a delay.
When to visit Kashmir
Kashmir changes completely across the year. We will tell you honestly if your dates do not suit what you are hoping to see.
| Months | What it is like | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| March to April | Almond and cherry blossom, then the tulip garden opens for a few weeks. Days pleasant, nights cold, some snow still on the high passes. | Tulips, blossom, photography |
| May to June | Peak season. Everyone escaping the plains arrives together, hotels are dearest and Gulmarg gondola queues are long. Book six weeks ahead. | School holidays, Sonmarg, Ladakh road |
| July to August | Warm and green, with occasional rain. The Amarnath yatra period brings extra traffic and security checks on some routes. | Greenery, lower rates |
| September to October | Our favourite. Clear skies, the chinar leaves turn red and gold, and the crowds have gone. Saffron harvest in Pampore in late October. | Couples, honeymoon, photography |
| November | Cold and very quiet. The valley is bare but beautiful, and rates are at their lowest of the year. | Quiet trips, low budgets |
| December to February | Snow. Gulmarg becomes a ski destination and Srinagar is at its most atmospheric. Sonmarg road usually closed, and flights can be delayed. | Snow, skiing, New Year |
Who actually runs your trip
Our head office is in Ghumarwin, Himachal. In Kashmir we work through the same verified local partners on every trip, which is why the ground team already knows how we like things done.

The same partners, every trip
We do not shop for the cheapest supplier each season. Our Kashmir hotels, houseboats and transporters are a fixed verified network, and our own coordinator travels with larger groups.
That is why we can tell you which houseboat is warm in January and which road closes after snowfall. It is not a brochure claim, it is the same people every time.
What your package includes
Private vehicle
A dedicated vehicle and driver for your group through the whole trip, sized to how many of you there are. Never a shared coach unless you ask.
Verified hotel partners
Budget to 5 star, all from our verified Kashmir partner network. A houseboat night on Dal Lake can be built in if you want it.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner included on most plans. Tell us about any dietary needs and we will arrange it in advance.
A person on call
A tour manager reachable on WhatsApp for your whole journey, not a call centre in another city.
Our guests in Kashmir
All of these are from real Suzu Travels departures in January. Families, couples and groups, in the season most people are told is too cold to visit.

Common questions
Is Kashmir safe to travel right now?
Tourist areas have been running normally and thousands of families travel each month. Conditions can change, so we watch the situation daily and will tell you plainly if we think your dates are a bad idea. We would rather lose a booking than send you into a problem.
How many days do I need?
Five nights covers Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam at a sensible pace. Four is possible but rushed. Add two nights if you want Sonmarg and a slower Srinagar, or two more for Vaishno Devi on the way in.
Do you include flights?
No. We are a ground handler, so our packages start on arrival at Srinagar airport or Jammu. We can advise on the best flights and the right buffer for winter delays.
What does it cost?
The classic five night circuit runs from Rs 17,499 on budget hotels, Rs 28,999 on deluxe and Rs 39,999 on premium, per person twin sharing. Your dates move that a lot, and the New Year week costs noticeably more than November. Send your details and we will give you the exact figure before you commit anything.
Why are some Kashmir packages so much cheaper?
Usually because the gondola ticket, the Pahalgam union cab and dinners are left out of the quoted price. Those three alone add four to six thousand rupees per person once you are there. Ask any operator for a written inclusion list before comparing numbers, ours included.
Should we stay on a houseboat?
One night is worth it for the experience. Most families prefer a hotel for the remaining nights, since houseboats are charming but can be cold and damp in winter.
Will the gondola be running?
It depends on weather and maintenance, and neither is predictable weeks ahead. We build the itinerary so that a closed gondola does not waste your day, and we tell you the risk honestly instead of promising it.
Rather just talk to someone?
Our lines are open 24 hours, including during your trip.
