Peak dates (Christmas–New Year, school holidays, long weekends) and higher hotel categories cost more. “On request” means the page prints no price; we quote it for your dates. Our suggestion for most couples: the Kashmir Houseboat Tour if you have five days, or Stunning Kashmir if you want a night in Gulmarg and Sonamarg as well. For a snow honeymoon from December to February, ask for Snowclad Kashmir Superior: 4-star hotels, a heated houseboat and the chained taxi up to Gulmarg are part of the plan. Gulmarg to Pahalgam is about 140 km, so day 3 is mostly driving. Chillai Kalan (21 December–31 January) is the coldest stretch of winter; heated rooms matter more than a view. For month-by-month snow detail see Kashmir in December.

What is open (November 2026): Srinagar, Gulmarg and the gondola, Pahalgam town, Betaab and Aru valleys are open. Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam is still closed (Anantnag district closed list, 7 July 2026; no reopening order found up to early November 2026). Check J&K Tourism and local police advisories before you travel; we re-check before every trip.
