Flights to Srinagar: what to expect
Srinagar has non-stop flights from Delhi on all the major Indian airlines: on our November 2026 check there were about 15 non-stops a day between 06:45 and 17:55, taking 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. Fares vary by date and booking window, so we do not print a flight price on this page. For a sense of scale, our Kashmir trip cost guide‘s 5 November 2026 fare check found one-way December fares to Srinagar of about ₹6,400–8,700 from Delhi, ₹10,000–11,200 from Mumbai and ₹13,000–14,800 from Bengaluru — treat those as a snapshot, not a quote, and expect peak dates like Christmas week to cost more. Book early for December–January and May–June.
- Morning flights work best: land before noon and day 1 becomes a full day, with the shikara ride the same evening.
- From other cities: most connections route via Delhi; we have city-wise plans such as the Kashmir tour package from Delhi.
- Train instead of flight: Vande Bharat trains now run to Srinagar from Jammu Tawi and Katra. From Delhi, take a train to Jammu or Katra and continue on the Vande Bharat — the Vaishno Devi packages are built around this routing.
- Winter note: heavy snow or poor visibility can delay Srinagar flights; keep a buffer before any onward connection on the way home.
