Where groups take our Maruti Ertiga
Where families of 5–6 take the Ertiga most from Delhi NCR and Chandigarh, and what each trip needs.
- Haridwar · RishikeshAbout 220–240 km from Delhi, 5–6 hours. The most booked Ertiga weekend: Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri, then Rishikesh’s ghats and cafés — one car for the whole family.
- Agra · Mathura–VrindavanThe Yamuna Expressway makes Agra (about 230 km) or Vrindavan a same-day round trip from Delhi. Leave at 6 am and be back by night.
- Shimla · KufriAbout 345 km and 7–8 hours from Delhi, or 115 km from the Tricity. A full Ertiga climbs the Kalka–Shimla four-lane steadily; the driver drops you at the nearest road point to the Mall.
- Mussoorie · NainitalMussoorie is about 280 km from Delhi via Meerut and Dehradun; Nainital about 310 km via Moradabad and Haldwani. Both are easy one-day drives with an early start.
- AmritsarAbout 460 km on the NH44 via Panipat, Ludhiana and Jalandhar, 7–8 hours of mostly flat highway — Golden Temple and the Wagah ceremony with the family.
- ManaliAbout 540 km from Delhi (11–13 hours) or 290 km from Chandigarh through Mandi. With six people and full bags, an Innova Crysta is the more relaxed car for this long climb.

Good to know before you book
Ertiga or Innova Crysta?
For 5–6 people on plains and mid-hill routes (Haridwar, Agra, Shimla, Mussoorie) the Ertiga does the job for less: ₹14/km against ₹19/km for a Crysta on round trips. For long climbs like Manali, six adults with big suitcases, or elders who want more legroom, the Crysta’s extra space and power are worth it.
Ertiga or sedan?
Four adults with light bags fit a sedan (₹12/km). From five people, or four with lots of luggage or a child seat, take the Ertiga — the third row and the extra boot make the difference.
Luggage with six on board
With all three rows in use the boot behind the last row is small — about two medium bags. Pack soft bags, ask for the roof carrier when you book, and keep jackets and medicines in the cabin. CNG Ertigas lose part of the boot to the gas cylinder, so tell us if you need the petrol version.
State taxes are extra
Every state you enter charges its own tourist-vehicle tax (Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, J&K, Rajasthan). We add them at actuals and list them in your quote. Details: Himachal entry tax & permits 2026.
Manali local sightseeing
The Ertiga takes you to Manali and back, but Solang, the Atal Tunnel–Sissu side and Rohtang are done in Manali’s locally registered union taxis. Rohtang needs an online permit and is closed on Tuesdays — we book those local cabs with your trip.
No night driving in the hills
For safety our drivers do not run hill sections late at night. Leave early (5–6 am from Delhi) and plan to reach before dark; the quote tells you the best start time.

Questions travellers ask
What is the Ertiga rent per km?
About ₹14 per km for round trips and multi-day tours, with a 250 km daily minimum and ₹400 a night driver allowance. Tolls, parking and state taxes are extra at actuals. One-way drops are priced separately because the car returns empty.
What is the Ertiga rent per day?
On an outstation tour a day works out to about ₹3,500 (250 km × ₹14) plus the driver’s night allowance — for example a 6-day Delhi–Shimla–Manali circuit of about 1,200 km starts around ₹22,999. Local use inside Delhi NCR or the Tricity is quoted on WhatsApp.
How much is an Ertiga from Delhi to Haridwar or Rishikesh?
One-way Delhi to Haridwar starts around ₹3,599 and Delhi to Rishikesh around ₹3,899. A 2-day Delhi–Haridwar–Rishikesh round trip starts around ₹7,399 including the driver allowance.
How much is an Ertiga from Delhi to Shimla or Manali?
One-way Delhi to Shimla starts around ₹6,599 and Delhi to Manali around ₹8,799. From Chandigarh, Shimla starts around ₹3,299 and Manali around ₹5,299.
Can we do Delhi to Agra and back in a day by Ertiga?
Yes. A same-day Delhi–Agra–Delhi trip on the Yamuna Expressway is about 460 km and starts around ₹6,499; a one-way drop to Agra starts around ₹3,999. Expressway tolls and parking are extra.
How many people can sit in an Ertiga?
The Ertiga has three rows. We book it for six passengers plus the driver so that there is still room for bags; with seven on board the boot is almost full. For 7 adults with suitcases take an Innova Crysta or a 12 seater Tempo Traveller.
Is the Ertiga available from Chandigarh?
Yes — pickup anywhere in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula or Zirakpur, the railway station, ISBT-43 or IXC airport. One-way Chandigarh to Shimla starts around ₹3,299 and Chandigarh to Manali around ₹5,299.
Do you give the Ertiga on self-drive?
No. Every Suzu car comes with a driver; fuel, the driver and his allowance are in the fare.
