Aharbal waterfall and Kausar Nag: when to go
Aharbal waterfall on the Veshaw river is at its most powerful in late spring and early summer (May–June), when snowmelt swells the river; in autumn the flow is gentler and the valley turns gold. In winter the area is snowbound and the road can close after heavy snow.
Kausar Nag (about 4,000 m) is a high lake reached by a multi-day trek from Aharbal — a summer trip, roughly July to September, when the snow has melted from the route.
