How it works

How a Suzu Manali adventure day works

  1. Tell us your plan

Dates, group size, ages — and weights for anyone flying — and which activities you want.

  2. We check what’s open

We check what runs on your dates and plan the order: fly in the morning air, raft after, a snow day on its own.

  3. One quote on WhatsApp

Hotel, cab and activities in one quote, arranged with registered local operators.

  4. Your driver takes you

Your cab drops you at each point; the briefing and safety gear are given at the site.

  5. Weather plan B

If weather stops an activity, we move it to the next day or swap it for one that is running.

One plan for the whole group

Not everyone wants to fly. Kids under 12 can ride the ropeway, zorb or play in the snow while others fly — we plan the day so nobody waits around.

Wear layers and shoes with grip, carry a change of clothes for rafting and snow, and tell us about any health issue when you book.

Safety first

What we check before we book

Suzu Travels is an HP Tourism registered travel agent (Reg. No. DTO-MND-11-243/2022). We arrange every activity with registered local operators and plan around these rules:

  • Registered sites onlyA June 2025 zipline fall near Nehru Kund happened at a site not registered for the season; Kullu’s DC asked tourists to confirm a site is authorised. We book only registered sites and operators.
  • Paragliding rulesNotified sites and registered pilots only; no passengers under 12 years or 30 kg (HP Aero Sports Rules 2022, amended 2025).
  • Rafting gearLife jacket and helmet compulsory, a guide in every raft. No rafting or flying 15 Jul – 15 Sep.
  • Snow senseHire a proper suit and boots; police barriers move with the snow — never go past them.
  • AltitudeFatru (about 3,200 m) and Rohtang (3,978 m) are high — go slow with kids and elders.
  • Weather callsPilots and guides decide on the day; if they stop, we reschedule or swap.

FAQ

Adventure activities in Manali — questions

Which adventure activities are open in Manali in October?

Paragliding, river rafting, the Solang ropeway, zorbing and ATV rides all run in October, and Sissu past the Atal Tunnel often gets its first snow in October–November. Flying and rafting reopened on 16 September 2026 after the monsoon ban.

When are paragliding and rafting closed in Manali?

Every year from 15 July to 15 September, by Kullu district’s monsoon order. They reopen on 16 September, weather permitting.

Is bungee jumping available in Manali?

We have not found a verified, operating bungee site in Manali. The verified bungee jump in Himachal is at Bir, and we can add it to a Manali–Bir route — see Bir Billing.

What is the minimum age for paragliding in Manali?

Twelve years and at least 30 kg, under the HP Aero Sports Rules. The pilot can also set an upper weight limit.

Can we do paragliding and rafting on the same day?

Yes, usually: fly from Solang or Dobhi in the morning, then raft at Raisan on the way down the valley. Weather decides the flying slot, so keep the plan flexible.

Where can we see snow in Manali in winter?

Solang Valley from late December to February, and Sissu past the Atal Tunnel, which often has snow earlier. Gulaba and Kothi on the Rohtang road are snow-play points when the road is open. See Himachal snowfall 2026-27.

Do we need a permit for Atal Tunnel or Rohtang?

The Atal Tunnel and Sissu need no Rohtang permit. Vehicles going to Rohtang Pass need an online permit — check our Rohtang permit & road status page before you go.

How much do adventure activities in Manali cost?

It depends on which activities, how many people, the flight length or rafting stretch, the month and the cab. Send your plan on WhatsApp (+91 70874 88961) for today’s rate within minutes — Price: Get Quote.
