How the weather decides your flight
You ride 14 km up a narrow road to Billing, take off at about 2,400 m and glide down to the Chowgan fields at Bir, about 1,000 m lower, in 15–30 minutes. Mornings are the safest bet: cloud and wind often build after midday, and on some days flights stop early — on 3 October 2026, for example, no flights ran after 11 am when cloud rolled in.
Plan two days, so the second morning is a spare if the weather grounds the flight. Tandem flights need riders aged 12+ and 30 kg+ under HP Aero Sports rules. Wear closed shoes and a warm layer — it is much colder at take-off than in Bir.
