Sinthan Top, Paddar and Machail: when the roads are open

Paddar valley, with villages such as Gulabgarh and Machail, lies further up the Chenab towards the Himachal border. The Machail Mata yatra is held in summer; in winter the high villages are snowbound.
Monsoon rain (July–August) can bring landslides on the Chenab valley roads. Nearby weather: Anantnag weather, Bhaderwah weather and Patnitop weather.
