Where groups take our Force Urbania
Where groups take the Urbania most from Delhi NCR and Chandigarh, and what each trip needs.
- Agra · VrindavanThe Yamuna Expressway makes Agra (about 230 km) or Mathura–Vrindavan a same-day round trip from Delhi — the van’s smooth highway ride is at its best here.
- Haridwar · RishikeshAbout 220–240 km from Delhi, 5–6 hours: Ganga aarti, family pujas and office rafting weekends. Hotels near Har Ki Pauri are reached on foot from the nearest parking.
- Shimla · KufriAbout 345 km and 7–8 hours from Delhi via Chandigarh and Kalka, or 115 km from the Tricity. Vans stop at the nearest road point; the Mall and Ridge are closed to vehicles.
- Manali · KasolAbout 540 km from Delhi (11–13 hours) or 290 km from Chandigarh via the Kiratpur–Nerchowk four-lane and Mandi. Leave by 5–6 am; for Delhi groups a night halt makes it easier.
- Katra (Vaishno Devi)About 640 km on the NH44 via Pathankot and Jammu — a long day, so most groups break the drive at Amritsar or Pathankot.
- Weddings · airport runsBaraat and guest transfers inside Delhi NCR and IGI airport pickups for large families are quoted by the day on WhatsApp.

Good to know before you book
Urbania or Tempo Traveller?
The Urbania is the premium choice: a car-like ride, a quieter cabin, reclining seats with their own vents and more headroom, so it costs more per km than a 17-seat Traveller. For a budget group the Traveller does the same trip; for elders, wedding guests or a corporate team the Urbania is worth it.
Which size you get
Force builds the Urbania in three lengths with about 10, 13 or 17 passenger seats. Our rates are for the 17-seat van; tell us your group size and bags, and we confirm the exact van, seat layout and photos on WhatsApp before you pay.
A long van on hill roads
The 17-seat Urbania is about 7 m long. It runs the main highways to Shimla, Manali, Mussoorie and Dharamshala comfortably, but some hotel lanes (Shimla’s core, McLeodganj, Mussoorie’s upper roads) are too tight — the driver drops you at the nearest road point.
State taxes for a 17-seater
Vehicles above 12 seats pay a higher seat-based tax at the Himachal barrier than small cars, and Uttarakhand, Punjab, UP and J&K charge their own. All at actuals, listed in your quote. Details: Himachal entry tax & permits 2026.
Manali local sightseeing
The Urbania takes you to Manali and back, but Solang, the Atal Tunnel–Sissu side and Rohtang are done in Manali’s locally registered union taxis. Rohtang needs an online permit and is closed on Tuesdays — we book those local cabs with your trip.
No night driving in the hills
For safety our drivers do not run hill sections late at night. Leave early (5–6 am from Delhi) and plan to reach before dark; the quote tells you the best start time.

Questions travellers ask
What is the Urbania rent per km?
About ₹36 per km for round trips and multi-day tours, with a 250 km daily minimum and ₹500 a night driver allowance. Tolls, parking and state taxes are extra at actuals. One-way drops are priced separately because the van returns empty.
What is the Urbania rent per day?
On a tour a day works out to about ₹9,000 (250 km × ₹36) plus the driver’s night allowance — for example a 6-day Delhi–Shimla–Manali circuit of about 1,200 km starts around ₹56,499. Local use inside Delhi NCR or the Tricity (weddings, airport runs) is quoted on WhatsApp.
How much is an Urbania from Delhi to Shimla or Manali?
One-way Delhi to Shimla starts around ₹18,299 and Delhi to Manali around ₹24,399. A 2-day Delhi–Shimla round trip starts around ₹25,399 including the driver allowance.
How much is a same-day Urbania trip from Delhi to Agra?
A same-day Delhi–Agra–Delhi trip (about 460 km on the Yamuna Expressway) starts around ₹16,599; a one-way drop to Agra starts around ₹10,999. Expressway tolls and Taj Mahal parking are extra.
How many seats does a Force Urbania have?
Force makes it in three lengths with about 10, 13 or 17 passenger seats plus the driver. The 17-seat van is comfortable for 14–15 adults with full suitcases; for 16–17 adults with heavy bags, take soft bags or a second vehicle.
What is the difference between an Urbania and a Tempo Traveller?
Both are Force Motors vans. The Urbania is the newer premium model with a smoother ride, more headroom and per-seat AC vents and reading lights; the Tempo Traveller is the budget workhorse. On round trips our 17-seat Traveller starts around ₹30/km and the Urbania around ₹36/km.
Is the Urbania available from Chandigarh?
Yes — pickup anywhere in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula or Zirakpur, the railway station, ISBT-43 or IXC airport. One-way Chandigarh to Shimla starts around ₹10,999 and Chandigarh to Manali around ₹14,699.
Can we take the Urbania to Char Dham, Spiti or Ladakh?
Ask us first. Those are long mountain routes with narrow, broken stretches and seasonal closures, so for your dates we tell you on WhatsApp whether the Urbania, a Tempo Traveller or smaller cars suit the road better — before you pay anything.
