The Great Himalayan National Park trek, at a glance
The Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP) in Kullu’s Banjar area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site you enter only on foot and only with a permit. Treks start from Gushaini in Tirthan Valley or Neuli in Sainj Valley and run from one day to a week or more. Multi-day trekkers must hire certified guides and porters, and the range officer approves each route.

GHNP + Tirthan and Jibhi
The plan that works best: 4 nights Tirthan–Jibhi — 2 nights in a Gushaini homestay + 2 nights in Jibhi, with the GHNP trek, Jalori Pass and the Serolsar Lake trek, and a cab from Chandigarh or Delhi. Read our full Tirthan Valley travel guide and the Jibhi guide, add trout fishing in the Tirthan (March–October) or a night of camping in Himachal. Coming by road? Book a Chandigarh to Manali taxi or a Delhi to Manali taxi — both pass Aut.
