How far is Dharamshala from Delhi and how long does it take?
Dharamshala is about 480 km from Delhi. By road it takes around 10–11 hours with breaks. The overnight Volvo takes 10–12 hours. You can also fly to Kangra (Gaggal) airport, about 13 km from Dharamshala, or take a train to Pathankot and drive about 3 hours by taxi.
How many days are enough for a Dharamshala trip from Delhi?
3 nights cover Dharamshala and McLeodganj comfortably. With 4–5 nights you can add Palampur’s tea gardens, Bir Billing paragliding or Dalhousie–Khajjiar, which is the most popular combination with our guests.
What is the best time to visit Dharamshala?
March to June and September to November give the most pleasant weather and clear Dhauladhar views. July and August bring very heavy rain. December to February is cold, with snow on the peaks and occasional snowfall in McLeodganj.
What is the difference between Dharamshala and McLeodganj?
They are next to each other. Lower Dharamshala is the town with the cricket stadium and markets. McLeodganj, about 9 km uphill, is home to the Dalai Lama Temple, Tibetan cafés, Bhagsunag waterfall and the start of the Triund trek. Most visitors stay in or near McLeodganj.
Is the Triund trek included in the package?
Triund is optional. It is roughly a 9 km trek each way from McLeodganj–Dharamkot and takes a full day. We can arrange a local guide and a campsite stay on top. If you prefer something easier, we plan a Naddi or Dharamkot sunset instead.
Is the Dharamshala package private or a group tour?
Every package is private. You get your own car and driver, and the hotel category, number of nights and pace are set for your family or group.
How much does a Dharamshala tour package from Delhi cost?

Can we combine Dharamshala with Dalhousie or Amritsar?
Yes. Dharamshala–Dalhousie–Khajjiar is our most booked Dharamshala route. Amritsar is also easy to add on the way from or back to Delhi, and our Amritsar taxi service covers the Golden Temple, Wagah and the drive up to Dharamshala.
