Accommodation on this trip is Deluxe camps and guesthouses, which is what the route allows rather than a choice of hotel grades. Where an upgrade is genuinely possible on a given date we will say so and quote it — we would rather tell you the honest option than sell you a tier that does not exist up there.

This route depends on the high passes being open, so in practice it runs through the summer and early autumn only. Within that, the rate above is the off-season rate and covers 1 July – 30 September. Departures from 15 March to 30 June and through October are peak season and priced 25% higher.

Please read before you plan dates. The full Shimla-to-Manali circuit only runs while the Manali road into Spiti and the Chandratal road are both open. Once Chandratal closes for the season the Manali leg is not possible at all, and the trip has to be re-routed. We will tell you honestly whether your dates work before you commit to anything — send them to us and we will confirm the road position for that window.
