Good to know about taxis at Chandigarh airport
Share the flight number
Send the flight number and the number of bags when you book. The driver follows the flight, so a delay does not leave you without a car, and he waits at the arrivals exit with your name.
Evening landings and the hills
For safety our drivers do not run hill sections late at night. Shimla and Kasauli work for a landing until mid-afternoon; for Manali, Kasol or Dharamshala take a morning flight, or stay the night in the Tricity and leave at 6–7 am.
Himachal entry fee
Cars registered outside Himachal pay an entry fee at the state barrier (₹100 a day for passenger vehicles up to 12 seats in 2026–27; commercial and larger vehicles pay more). It is added to your quote at actuals. Details: Himachal entry tax & permits 2026.
Toy train from Kalka
If you want to ride the Kalka–Shimla toy train, we drop you at Kalka station (about 35 km) and can meet you in Shimla with the same car and your luggage — tell us the train timing.
Winter fog
In December and January, morning fog delays flights at IXC and slows the plains stretch to Delhi and Amritsar. The driver tracks the delay; for a Delhi drop or onward flight, keep a good time buffer.
One car for the whole trip
Airport → Shimla → Manali → back to the airport is usually cheaper as one per-km tour than as separate one-way drops. Ask for both prices.
