This first leg of your journey will be a challenge, as the roads are rough and the weather conditions are unpredictable. But don't let that discourage you, push through and overcome this test.
As you make your way through the Lahaul Valley, you'll be surrounded by snow-capped mountains on all sides. Continue on to Jispa, where you'll be stopping for the day. After a long ride, you'll be sure to appreciate a delicious dinner of traditional Himalayan dishes like steamed momos and thukpa. Fill up your stomach and get some rest, you've earned it.

Today, you'll be hitting the road and driving to Sarchu. As you leave Jispa behind, you'll enter the Greater Himalayan landscape. This highway route takes you right into the heart of the mountains, and you'll be able to enjoy the stunning views as you pass through the Baralachha Pass, which sits at an altitude of 5000 meters above sea level.
Keep driving towards Sarchu, which is the border between Kashmir and Himachal. Once you reach there, head to the Sarchu camp and take some time to relax for the rest of the day. Remember to keep a high intake of fluids to prevent acute mountain sickness (AMS).

The day ahead promises to be full of challenges as you'll be riding your motorbike through flatlands and into the mountains. Your first stop will be the Tanglang-La Pass, the second highest motorable mountain pass in the world, sitting at an altitude of 5300 meters. Crossing this pass will be a test of skill, but once you've done it, you'll be rewarded with well-maintained roads all the way to Leh.
En-route, you'll have the opportunity to visit the ancient monasteries of Thiksey and Shey, which are set on top of a hill and are popular tourist attractions. After check-in at the hotel in the Changspa area of Leh, take some time to explore the local places and rest for the night.

Today marks the fifth day of your trip and you will be visiting Nubra via the Khardungla Pass, which sits at an altitude of 18360 ft and is considered one of the world's highest motorable passes. On the way to Nubra, you will take a break at South Pullu to grab some food before continuing on to the Khardung La. Be sure to take pictures and take in the feeling of standing at one of the world's highest passes.
Your next stop will be North Pullu, where you can take a rest and grab a bite to eat. On the way to Nubra, you will also visit the Diskit Monastery, where you can see the Maitreya Budha statue, which stands at 32 meters high. Nubra is famous for its sand dunes and two-humped camels, so take a camel ride in the evening and return to the camp.

Rise and shine, today is a day to wake up early and enjoy the enchanting natural scenery. Freshen up and enjoy breakfast, then begin your drive to the Pangong Lake alongside the River Shyok. Enjoy the picturesque beauty on the way and stop at Durbok to have lunch. After a short break, you will proceed towards Chang La (5500 meters above sea level) and go forward to the army checkpoint at Tangse.
Upon your arrival at the campsite, check into your tents. The rest of the evening is at your leisure, you can stroll around the lake and spend some quality time in nature. Pangong Lake is the largest high altitude brackish water lake in the world and two-thirds of the lake lies in China. Enjoy the sunset from the lakeshore and have a great time stargazing.

After a delicious breakfast early in the morning, take some time to enjoy a photo-session around the lake and spend some quality time there. Later in the day, you will head towards Leh. Upon arrival, you'll have an assisted transfer to the hotel. After check-in, you can go on a sightseeing tour of Leh. You can shop at the bazaars, visit the Shanti Stupa, a huge Buddhist white-dome structure that overlooks Changspa, and enjoy a great view of the Indus Valley and the Zanskar range.
