Drive to the spiritual city of Rishikesh in the morning, covering a distance of approximately 230 km in 6 hours. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival and then head to the Ganga Ghat to witness the captivating Ganga Aarti ceremony, a mesmerizing ritual where devotees offer prayers to the river Ganges. After breakfast, proceed towards Barkot via Mussoorie. The journey covers a distance of approximately 200 km and takes around 7 hours. En route, enjoy a short trip to the picturesque Kempty Falls and continue your journey to Barkot. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel for an overnight stay. Take in the stunning views of the mountains and the tranquil surroundings of Barkot. Get a good night's rest before the next day's adventure.
After breakfast, proceed towards Janki Chatti from Barkot, covering a distance of 36 km by road and 7 km by trek. You can either walk or hire a horse or Doli to cover the trekking distance. On reaching Janki Chatti, take a holy dip in Jamunabai Kund, cook prasad at Surya Kund, offer prayers to Divya Shila and worship "Yamunaji" at the main temple. Explore the divine location of Yamunotri and then return to Hanuman Chatti, the confluence of Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna River. Later, drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast, start your journey towards Uttarkashi. The scenic drive of around 100 kms from Barkot will take around 4 hours to reach your destination. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of the holy river Bhagirathi. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and get refreshed. Then, visit the famous temples of Uttarkashi including Vishwanath Temple, Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav and Gvaneshwar. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will drive towards Gangotri which is located at a surface coverable distance of approximately 100 Kms and takes around three hours (one side). Gangotri is located at a higher altitude of 3048 meters above sea level and it enjoys the lap of greater Himalayan Ranges. Gangotri is a sacred pilgrimage site which is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Upon arrival, you will offer your prayers at the Gangotri Temple and spend some peaceful moments in the serene surroundings. Later, you will return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay at the hotel.
Proceed for Haridwar from Uttarkashi. The surface distance to cover is 154 Kms, approximately 6 hours of driving. After arrival, check-in at the hotel and head out to witness the evening Aarti at Har-ki-Pauri. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
